ARI Network Continues to Expand
ADULT REDEPLOY ILLINOIS WELCOMES JERSEY COUNTY DRUG COURT TO THE NETWORK AND EXPANDS SUPPLEMENTAL FUNDING FOR FOUR CURRENT SITES
In February, the Adult Redeploy Illinois (ARI) Oversight Board approved funding for five sites: the 4th Judicial Circuit, the 20th Judicial Circuit, DuPage County, Jersey County, and Sangamon County. This funding, totaling approximately $192,000, will expand problem-solving court capacity in rural areas, provide training opportunities for the ARI network, and enhance treatment and support services offered to program participants. In total, the funding will impact services in nine (9) counties across Illinois.
Jersey County, originally an ARI site from 2011-2020, was awarded ARI funding for its rural drug court. ARI funding will allow Jersey County to rejoin the ARI network and enhance and expand services that aim to help program participants improve their lives by achieving sobriety, reaching education and employment goals, and achieving financial independence.
The ARI Oversight Board also approved supplemental funding for current ARI sites to expand services in eight (8) counties:
- 4th Judicial Circuit (impacting Clay, Christian, Effingham, and Jasper Counties): To expand behavioral health treatment options and provide transportation, housing, legal assistance, and incentives to program participants.
- 20th Judicial Circuit (impacting St. Clair and Monroe Counties): To expand substance abuse treatment in Monroe County and provide training to program staff.
- DuPage County: To host a regional training on Moving On (a gender-responsive intervention to provide women with alternatives to criminal activity).
- Sangamon County: To equip staff for virtual supervision and provide housing assistance and incentives to program participants.
Through these funding opportunities, ARI aims to increase equitable access to services that support program participants’ wellbeing and improve public safety. The ARI program applauds all its sites engaging in unique and innovative services to improve the quality of life of their participants.
