Description This dataset contains Illinois juvenile justice data from the years 2017 to 2022. This dataset will continue to be updated with additional data upon availability of all data sources. The dataset includes five different juvenile justice system points—arrest, detention, informal probation, transfer to adult court, and confinement. The dataset also includes the year of the event, the race/ethnicity of the individual, the county where it occurred, the geographic region of that county, and the rural/urban designation for that county. Arrest information is protected per our data sharing agreement with the Illinois State Police. Specific modifications have been made to arrest data.
