Join ICJIA’s Grant Application Reviewer Pool!
ICJIA Call for Volunteers
Would you like to play a key role in the decisions that empower and support people throughout Illinois? ICJIA seeks community volunteers to read and review grant applications submitted by organizations across Illinois. This collaborative approach enhances ICJIA’s application review process with the assistance of individuals with diverse backgrounds, viewpoints, and experiences.
Volunteer reviewers will receive training on the merit-based review process and other technical assistance. Each application takes approximately one hour to review. The time commitment for this volunteer opportunity will total about eight hours over a two-week period.
Duties include:
- Attend training on effectively, ethically, and equitably reviewing grant applications.
- Review applications submitted by organizations seeking grant funding via web-based portal.
- Score applications based on the rubric provided.
- Provide comments justifying scoring.
- Participate in 1 meeting to discuss applications and scores.
- Submit final application scores and comments by deadline.
