This position will conduct application development services for the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority’s InfoNet System, an Internet-based custom application used by more than 100 victim service providers throughout Illinois to track victim services anonymously. The candidate will complete project deliverables specific to a federally funded project known as InfoNet Stepping Forward, which will enhance the application’s capacity to help victim service providers (users): comply with federal reporting requirements; 2) conduct more comprehensive case management services with victims/clients; and 3) facilitate more meaningful evaluation of programs and services to crime victims
Project tasks include adding new data fields; converting some existing data fields from their current single timepoint format to be collected at multiple timepoints, and building new reporting tools within the application. Duties will include designing, developing, testing, debugging, and implementing new application functions and reporting tools within InfoNet, including drafting system documentation for these enhancements.
This is a remote work position, but candidate may choose to work at ICJIA’s downtown Chicago office during the agency’s regular business hours (M-F 8:30a to 5p) pending availability.
This is a part-time position. The selected candidate must work a minimum of 10 hours per week but can work up to 35 hours per week on average. Hours may include nights and/or weekends to suit the selected candidate’s schedule, so long as two hours per week minimally are worked during ICJIA business hours for meetings and regular communication with the project team. The selected candidate will start as soon as possible and work through September 30, 2022.
