New publication: Illinois Juvenile Justice System Data Trends Pre- and Post-COVID-19

Illinois Juvenile Justice System Data Trends Pre- and Post-COVID-19

Researchers examined juvenile justice data to identify demographic and regional trends over five years. This article provides a snapshot of arrest, detention, probation and court services, and corrections data from 2018 to 2022. Results indicated most juvenile arrests occurred in Cook County during that period and that Black youth represented most arrests across the state.
