Deputy Director Charise Williams joined Lt. Governor Juliana Stratton and Director Yaacov Delaney of Justice, Equity, and Opportunity Initiative for a fireside chat with Young Leaders in Action.

This program led by Dr. Sherrod is funded through the R3 program and teaches young people to use their leadership skills to better their community.

They are proud recipients of the Governor’s Cup Award and help lead violence prevention efforts with local officials in Macon County.

Lt. Governor Stratton encouraged the young leaders by reminding them they belong. “You’re in those rooms for a reason. Your insight could change the course of everything.”
