SFY 23 Bullying Prevention Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO# 2118-2204)
The Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority is requesting proposals for SFY23 Bullying Prevention grants. A total of $400,000 in Bullying Prevention funding is available through this solicitation for use over a period of 36 months.

Program Requirements
This funding opportunity will be open to schools and community-based agencies. The NOFO asks applicants to address bullying prevention through (1) positive school climate activities and (2) supportive services for those experiencing bullying in the following ways:
School climate and/or Community level activities
- Bullying prevention and pro-social campaigns, events, etc.
- Education and awareness
- Student/youth groups such as youth leadership, gay/straight alliance, etc.
- Planning to determine what school-based BP policies and procedures are necessary
- Implementation of school bullying prevention policies and procedures
- Implementation of an evidence informed bullying prevention program
Supportive Services
- Staff to support students in community, classrooms, in groups or individually. This includes the broad range of supports from early intervention to clinical supports (including education and awareness for those have been bullied and those that have used bullying behaviors) and can address bullying and related mental health challenges such as suicide prevention.
Eligibility Information
Agencies must be registered in the Grant Accountability and Transparency Act (GATA) Grantee Portal, https://grants.illinois.gov/portal/, to become eligible to apply for an award. Applicants must be in good standing with all GATA pre-qualification requirements and received approval of the Internal Control Questionnaire (ICQ) SFY 23, before the execution of the grant agreement.

Deadline
Completed application materials must be emailed to CJA.StateViolencePrevention@illinois.gov by 4:59 p.m., July 20, 2022, to be considered for funding. Proposals will not be accepted by mail, fax, or in-person. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. Late submissions will not be reviewed.
Available Funds
A minimum of $400,000 dollars will be made available through this funding opportunity. Applicants may request a minimum of $65,000 and a maximum of $75,000.
Period of Performance
Funding is available to support programming from October 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023 or 9 months of programming.
Technical Assistance Session
Technical assistance recordings providing additional information regarding this funding opportunity will be available for viewing beginning at 10:00 A.M., June 20, 2022.

Reporting
Recipients must submit periodic financial reports, periodic performance reports, final financial and performance reports, and a calendar year end financial report in accordance with the CFR Part 200 Uniform Requirements. Future awards and fund drawdowns may be withheld if reports are delinquent.
