Edward Byrne Justice Assistance Grant Comprehensive Law Enforcement Response to Violent Crime - Category 2: Multijurisdictional Violent Crime Law Enforcement Program Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO # 2094-2891)

The Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority is requesting proposals for grants to the Comprehensive Law Enforcement Response to Violent Crime, Category 2 Multijurisdictional Violent Crime Enforcement program. Grants will be made with Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) FFY21 funds.

Available Funds

A total of $1,350,000 is available through this solicitation for use over a grant term of nine months.

Program Requirements

The goal of this solicitation is to increase public safety and reduce the large social and economic cost of violent crime through specialized law enforcement. This funding opportunity is open to applicants who demonstrate a comprehensive strategy toward violent crime and its contributing causes, include multijurisdictional collaborative efforts in their programs, are NIBRS-certified, and will incorporate services for victims.

Eligible Applicants

This solicitation is open to Illinois municipalities, counties, and state agencies.

Period of Performance

Funding is available for the period of January 1, 2025, through September 30, 2025.

Technical Assistance Session

Technical assistance recordings providing additional information regarding this funding opportunity will be available for viewing beginning at 3:00 P.M. CDT, September 9, 2024.
