Funding Opportunities
The Federal & State Grants Unit (FSGU) administers grant programs overseen by ICJIA. Authorized to receive and disburse grant money, ICJIA also is responsible for assuring compliance with federal and state regulations. ICJIA began administering federal grants in 1985, following the passage of the Justice Assistance Act and the Victims of Crime Act by Congress.

The Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority is issuing a funding opportunity for the reimbursement of expenses of procuring live scan fingerprinting equipment to improve the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of criminal history records submitted by Illinois justice system agencies. Grants will be made with FFY23 National Criminal History Improvement Program (NCHIP) funding. A total of $1,900,629 is available through this solicitation.

The Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority is requesting proposals for grants Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Transitional Housing FFY21. Grants will be made with FFY24 or other available VOCA funds. A total of $2,830,905 in funding in VOCA is available through this solicitation for use over a period of 12 months.
