The Illinois Freedom from Drones Surveillance Act (the Act) provides reporting requirements for law enforcement drone ownership and usage. The Act requires law enforcement agencies in the state to report on drone ownership, usage, and policies to the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority (ICJIA) [725 ILCS 167] (Appendix A). ICJIA must then use the reported information to compile and publish an annual report. This report covers drone reporting in State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2025.
