Child sex exploitation study probes extent of victimization in Illinois
The commercial sexual exploitation of children in the United States, often referred to as modern day slavery, is a multi-million dollar industry supported by revenue from prostitution and pornography.
Due to the attention that commercial sexual exploitation of children has received, and its priority among federal, state, and local law enforcement officials, it is an important issue for Illinois to explore.
