ILLINOIS IS PARTICIPATING IN JUSTICE COUNTS, A NATIONAL PROGRAM INITIATED BY THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE’S OFFICE OF JUSTICE PROGRAMS’ BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE (SEE THE JUSTICE COUNTS WEBSITE: https://justicecounts.csgjusticecenter.org/).

THE GOAL OF JUSTICE COUNTS IS TO COLLECT AND DISSEMINATE A SET OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE DATA METRICS. COLLECTIVELY, THE METRICS PERTAIN TO SEVEN CRIMINAL JUSTICE SECTORS, SELECTED TO ENCOMPASS A WIDE RANGE OF JUSTICE SYSTEM ACTIVITY (E.G., LAW ENFORCEMENT, COURTS, PRISONS). THE ILLINOIS CRIMINAL JUSTICE INFORMATION AUTHORITY SEEKS A PROJECT MANAGER TO COORDINATE COLLECTION AND DISSEMINATION OF ILLINOIS JUSTICE COUNTS METRICS. THE SELECTED CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE STRONG PROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS, THE ABILITY TO WORK COOPERATIVELY WITH A WIDE VARIETY OF JUSTICE SYSTEM PRACTITIONERS, AND THE ABILITY TO MANIPULATE AND ANALYZE QUANTITATIVE DATA.
